Meet the Doc

Dr. Tiffany Martinez

Dr. Tiffany Martinez was born and raised and is here to stay in the Garden State.  She graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Biological Sciences and Africana Studies.  Dr. Tiffany attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she served on the board of the Student National Medical Association and Family Physicians Club before she realized her true passion was in women’s health. She completed her residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Dr. Tiffany was honored with awards including Medical Student Teacher of the Year, Best Senior Resident Teaching Award, the Ava Harris Award for Outstanding Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Patient Care, and many more.

Dr. Tiffany immediately began working as a private physician after she graduated from residency.  She had the honor of caring for women at their most vulnerable moments in Monmouth and Middlesex Counties for five years.  She then joined the Atlantic Health System as a full-time Ob Gyn Hospitalist.  There she served as a safety officer at Morristown Medical Center.  Given the opportunity to expand her leadership role, she was appointed Interim Director of Labor and Delivery at Overlook Medical Center in November of 2019 and is loving every minute of it!

My Story...

I was never a good test taker.  I studied hard, but didn’t always know how to study.  This fact was highlighted when I failed my Step 3, two times.  Let me say that again, I failed Step 3, not once but twice.  It broke my world.  I was so disappointed in myself.  I had never failed a standardized exam in my life.  I took this failure, and poured all of my energy into mastering not just Step 3, but test-taking in general.  My third attempt revealed my highest grade for all three portions of my board exams.  With the Ob Gyn Written Boards not too far out in the future, I prepared to CRUSH that exam too.  In addition to test-taking strategies I realized the importance of organization and time required to become a confident test-taker.

Needless to say, I became obsessed with preparing for the Oral Boards.  The crazy part was that I enjoyed every single minute of that preparation process. While you may not become obsessed or perhaps you won’t enjoy one moment of it, let me walk you through this in such a way that PASSING is the only option.  I can show you how to think like the examiner, how to predict questions and polish your answers.  Most importantly I can show you how to use this process to perfect your craft and your practice…leaving this exam a more confident, thorough, and knowledgeable board certified Ob Gyn.  Allow me to help you with that!
